One More Time Poem by Walter C. Edwards

One More Time

Rating: 5.0

So slowly my life unwinds,
like a ball of twine,
how to drink the last waters,
from my tongue,
as my life becomes undone,
sweet are the birds,
warm is the sun,
let me sleep,
I hurt inside,
I cry outside,
so old, so new,
but my time is due,
play with me,
one more time.
