'One-Winged Angel' Poem by Ming Guo

'One-Winged Angel'

On the way back home
I came across a one-winged angel.
It was neither purely human, nor purely angel,
But more like it was in-between.

That one-winged angel taught me many things.
It taught me about life and how it was so full of mysteries.
It showed me how it was near the end of its human days,
And now starting to take its first angelic breath.

No, this one-winged angel was not dying,
It was neither young nor old,
But purely a harmonious being consoled.
For you see, we all can be one-winged angels.

All we have to do is live life out the best way we can,
Then slowly we can transform.
We become reformed,
So we are branded anew.

See, what this one-winged angel has done,
Was do exactly that.
And now he will gradually become an angel wherever he is at.
For he started without his iwngs, then to one, then later to two.

So we all are at first human by name,
But by deeds we can slowly turn from mortal to angel.
This wonder is not just a marvel,
But an untold truth.
