Oneiros Poem by Don Prem Legaspi

Oneiros

A miasma of sound enveloping
Yet a faint song keeps resounding
A melody I've heard before
Like the wave's caress ashore
And the voice's message, new it remains
Yet before it had come like droplets of rain In a dream
I've been walking in waking sleep
I have been where I dare not leap
The coitus of dream and slumber
blithe to be stifled in aether
And the remnants, vile it remains
binding the walls of this mental refrain
And cease, it does not
This shade in my periphery, vainly dreamt and forgot
