Only Alone Poem by John Nieuwenhuizen

Only Alone

Rating: 5.0

Alone I was born to blood of ties
Unknowingly forged by hand and lies

Alone I grew with clay and straw
Uncontested to the breath of law

Alone I stand to be a man
Unwillingly because I can

Alone I cried to be set free
Undoubtedly to the power of thee

Alone I fight to be me
Unstoppable I tried to be

Alone I lived off water and air
Unspoken of earth, fire and flair

Alone I died from two sons that shine
Untamed by the ultimate divine

Alone I became dust to heaven or hell
Unending so it shall

An insightful piece of poetry, well conceived and nicely embellished in poetic rhyme and rhythm. Thanks for sharing John.
