Only Skin Deep
The person people see you as
Is only skin deep
I’m the person inside of you
And you are making me weep
Funny and charming you antics are
But you’re just trying to hide
I wonder why you won’t trust me
I’m always on your side
I want you to embrace me
As you did before
I want you to let me shine
Because you’re not anymore
You hide from everyone around you
And tuck me way down low
But even when you tuck me away
There’s nothing I don’t know
I see, hear, and feel everything
Even your blood and tears
So take courage in me and let me out
So I can stick up to your fears
Nice write... yes we are all at some time guilty of hiding our true selves away.. and showing the person we think others want to see.... Its easier in some ways to live inside a sheeps clothing... but one day we have to come out... Alison
