Only Two Can Tango Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Only Two Can Tango

It has always been what she said
Like Gospel truth you consider
And sadly, it makes our love so dead
When all you listen to is - her?

I wonder what great magic wand
Curls you up around her finger?
And then make you fail to understand
My words that only seem to linger?

How can you believe all that she said
And forget that it's me who loved you?
You have no trust and I'm filled with dread
I wonder whatever has she done to you.

Caring is not about competition
And for that, I think I will let you go
In this love affair you have my resignation
Because I believe only two can tango.
