Onyango Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Onyango

I want to be closer to you than before,
And tell me what to do on this love;
For your love is like the beauty of a woman fast asleep,
But the fast-food restaurants and the sex-shops are not for me.
The windows of the world will hide your face,
But what should i do on this love?
And like the Black Ladies in Texas with untold sotries.
I am the image of my father but i have no shoes on,
You are theimage of your mother and you do have shoes on;
And i am very glad to know you Onyango,
For my love is like the beauty of a woman fast asleep.
