Open Heart Surgery

i sat down at the table
trusting her with my heart
fragile to the touch
it could easily fall apart
she held it in her hands
i waited for her next move
anticipation in her eyes
for what she wanted to do
but she dropped it.......
i dont think she planned it
but it happened in a way
that scarred me on the inside
until this very day
