Open Wings Poem by heavens Angel

Open Wings

ever hear the faint
whisper of your name being called
then you turn around and no one is to be found
but you know you heard that sound
a flutter of wings
a birds soft song
a slight brushing of someone running
there fingers in your hair
as you sleep
an angel's wings
that keep you close at night
the crucifix you wear for protection
the charm your friend gave you
for a new journey to be told
for that one person who keeps you warm
for when they hold
a candle that flickers
when no wind is present
for the calming effect
when your upset and crying
for a child's blanket
that is there secuirty
i know if it wasn't for someone watching out for me
i wouldn't be able to go on
to live another day
when the pain is unbearable
to not be able to sleep
because you can't
every breath you take
hurts every tear you cry kills
maybe it isn't them who is the
open wings maybe it I

We all look for security, like an anchor on a ship. GOD is a great anchor.
