Opportunity Poem by Brooke Renwick

Opportunity

Rating: 5.0

I look at my own corruption.
Then I look at the world around.
I stop for one moment.
I see the sacrifices of billions.

What I have is opportunity.
I have somehow,
been given breath - and
I can reflect for a moment.

It was just a roll of the dice and
I was given open fields and blue skies.
Although, I have seen darkness,
I ask myself -

Do I have a seed of hope?
I know more so now,
that I live in a fertile field and,
I have seeds of hope to plant.
