Orphan animal

Tonight I
-want to be animal
-want to eat a turnip
-eat is raw

Tonight I
-want to feel out of town
-I am not civilised

No, no, not
-not at all

Tonight I
-am copy of donkey
-or goats, sheep
-maybe cow
-I also chew beetroot
-this too, raw

This is how we fed our animals
-in Aghol and Afsha, or pen, house

I like them far better than mankind
-have had them, been with them, less their harm

They never enslaved
-never took children from moms
-never sent the orphans, and orphaned
-in the ships heading for Canada
-off London to distance, New Zealand, Australia

They never killed in child ‘Indian'
-and never gathered poor kids of Kabul for…
-shipping them to Russia

They never took hen-ship from hen
-stealing all her eggs for eating, hatching them
-by mistake of intent

They never made, threw gun or bomb
They never committed the crimes of mankind
