Oscar Wilde: A Tribute Poem by LALATENDU KABI

Oscar Wilde: A Tribute

Rating: 4.0

-1-
Oscar Wilde! my Master Dear,
So far from me and yet so near; -1-
When in Your books, I know no fear,
And deep in You, I am nowhere 2-
When someone sheds by me a drop of tear,
Does the Happy Prince cry and I do hear! -3-
When misery busts the Heart of a Lover
The white rose becomes red, red and redder! -4-
-2-
In your lantern nights, by the northern pole,
'Why unborn was I? ' thus cries my soul. : -5-
In the evening crowds as the Sweetest Song
With Music buzzes - You come along- -6-
Side by me - and do tap my back,
Your musical Prose hums' and poetries crack! -7-
