Our Augmented Idiocy Poem by MD MOZAFFOR HOSSAIN

Our Augmented Idiocy

We fell into the trench of our own ignorance.
Then, we had been suffering and speculating rubbish.
Our deeper stupidity got marked on our countenance.
We debased ourselves as others excel in doing so.

Our most veteran leaders topping emptiness
Felt the dire absence of our slightest common sense,
Buried their asinine heads in snobbish contemplation,
Besought here and there, and entreated many scholars.

They pled to them to come and train
These imbeciles, us, so some sense we retain.
Instead, they vowed to be exorbitant in pouring finance
For the pantomaths revealing to salvage our souls.

And we flocked to the session of enlightenment
Hoping to gain respite from sticky darkness.
All looked to the scholar for salvation so long remote.
They emptied their bags to let in the desired essence.

The saint began to downpour knowledge
To all's naked surprise, it proved the saga of nonsense.
The idiocy we had been nourishing seemed upright
But the hired maestro received his bounty for grander futility.
