Which came I not to understand,
Indian ethos, myth and mysticism,
Indian spirituality, religion and philosophy,
The lands and the people
From Kashmir to Tamil Nadu,
Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal, Assam
To Gujarat, Maharashtra
To Orissa, West Bengal
Indian culture, lands, languages,
Diets, food habits, attires,
Their history, art and culture
Indo-Aryan, Dravidian, Austro-Asiatic,
Tibeto-Chinese,
Its history, politics, religion, philosophy
I could not,
Could not conclude it,
But to talk of it is not to talk
Of India and Indianism,
But our connection with Nepal,
Bhutan, Sikkim, China, Burma,
Ceylon, Cambodia, Hongkong,
Indonesia, Malaysia,
Thailand, Tibet.
