Our Families (Light Humor, All Will Relate) Poem by Vaughn Bekker

Our Families (Light Humor, All Will Relate)

Rating: 5.0

In every family it would seem
There`s always one that will sit and dream
There are those are incredibly kind
No matter what, they don’t seem to mind

There are those who drink and fall down
And spend their lives acting like a clown
Then there are the ones who live at the mall
Shopping for clothes winter to fall

Or the grumpy old man who`s always in a mood
Who just stomps around acting like a prude
Then theres the old lady who likes to cook and bake
You`re making us fat for goodness sake

Or the one who likes to stir the pot
A good spanking they never got
Then of course there is the know it all
Who always seems to have the biggest fall

And of course the one who out the closet does spring
What a surprise that seems to bring
There are those who crash and burn
When will they ever learn

Then there are those who are at each other’s throats
Then back the winner sits and gloats
There`s always one who in the mirror will look
Or one who wants to write a book

Then there’s one always asking why
Or another who around the world will fly
Then there’s one with the flashy car
Or the other who just sits in the bar

Or the one who gives everything they`ve got
And thinks everyone else has lost the plot
And then the one who has to shout
And no one knows what the fuss is about

Then there’s the one who does attention seek
Who tends to make you feel so bleak
So no matter who you think you are
And that your family is the craziest by far

And no matter which family you`ve got
If you think you`re unique, you`re not
The short the fat the skinny the tall
Every family has them all
