Our Heroes Poem by Amber Jones

They all were once one;
say that, as you and me,
But they all lived and shared and breathed
And served in unity.
Look upon our fellows, and see what they have seen.
For it will prove as ashen
As all of hell has been.

Yet this did not deter our soldiers, every one and all.
Through their loyalty and bravery,
They honored freedom’s call.
They fought their way through enemies;
they’ve faced the face of hell.
And thus they’ve proved their constancies.

Our heroes have served us well.

They all were once one;

for they are one because they’re all,
And that’s what makes us free.
