What if we kept the windows in our homes closed
Because, that reasoning we have not opposed,
And we kept all of our doors always shut
And there in our home we leave all our trash and smut.
What if we had all our chimney tops capped
And inside of it the smoke and ash is trapped,
We continually breathed the same old air
That has always been lingering inside the chimney there.
What if in our fireplaces we always lit a fire
So, with it we could cook and warm and admire,
There we burn coal, and wood and old papers
And there we would inhale all the toxic vapors.
What if in our homes we always littered and smoked
And because of both actions we coughed and chocked,
And the smoke had nowhere else to escape or go
So, inside our home and our lungs it freely does flow.
What if we never vacuumed or mopped our floors
And finally our indoors became just like our outdoors,
Inside our homes now becomes trashed and polluted
For us it's how it was finally suited.
What if our home becomes filthy and very unclean
And an awful and detestable sight to be inhaled and seen,
But, to keep our homes fresh and clean we plan it
That is how we should treat our home planet.
