Our Last Encounter Poem by Rick Elpers

Our Last Encounter

Beauty grows abundantly
Upon the soul I once loved
Sitting next to me
Is a ghost who I can
No longer hold
Each breath noticed
Quietly sighing to avoid
The inner tears that roll through
Me watching her as now
My beloved has become
A stranger
