Our Lives Poem by Aria Quimby

Our Lives

Rating: 4.5

If the eyes of my future were blue
Would my life be different
Than someone who had
A green-eyed future?

What if my past was brunette?
Does that mean my life was harder
Or easier than one
With a blonde past?

Just because I'm fortunate
Does that say I have a tall present
Whereas one who is less fortunate,
Has a short present?

What if we are our life?
What if it's a person too?
And all of it depends on how it looks?
Isn't that what people tell us?

Looks are everything
Do looks dominate our existence?
Determine our destiny
And how our fate plays out?

I really liked that :) It had me pondering- which I'll do for hours.
