Our Love Poem by Angela Wood

Our Love

My heart had died
My body had dried
Then came a masterful presence
Blazon and craven
I stopped in reverence of a man
Unlike any other I had ever known
I began to yearn for
Your Essence,
Your Brilliance,
Your very being I had to have.
Your absence I fear.
Here your essence I can clearly feel
Sitting here in reverence of you
I realize,
Death nor Distance, nor Heaven or Hell
Have any dominion over our love.
Distance can put thousands of mile between us,
I can still feel your very essense
Heaven needs it
And
Hell is powerless against it.
My heart can never impart from you,
Sweetheart.
Your love was sent from above
A slave to the grave no more.
Revived I began to thrive.
