Our Sacred Land Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Our Sacred Land

Our sacred land
Saturday,19th December 2020

Brave soldiers,
they are already famous
with their victorious stand
on every battlefield

the soldier
becomes braver
when offers
supreme sacrifice

what another word can suffice?
when laying down lives
for the guard of national frontiers,
and secure it from invaders

live or posthumous
their memory reminds us continuous
their bravery and valour
earn an honour

we not only salute
but mute our voice
bow down head
and utter few words

Motherland
this is not an end
we shall never die
but try with our supreme sacrifice

nation mourns
but warns against any attempt
that tries to violate our sacred land
we shall make them bend their knees
