Our Texas Trip - Poem by Marilyn Lott

We’re so lucky to live at Spanish Cove
Where we take the best trips one could find
The list of our itinerary would amaze you
Susan makes sure we get there on time

Well, we hopped onto our bus this day
Riding and enjoying our camaraderie
With Ralph doing what he does best
Yes, he entertains us so creatively

He’s so charming, don’t you know
And it pays off once in awhile
Especially in the service we get
He is treated in a prince-like style

You see, Texas was our destination
And everything went as it should
Again we must thank our Susan
She certainly did what she could

Oh, the food was so delicious
We couldn’t have asked for better
But Ralph didn’t even want to share
He’s definitely a staunch go-getter

Then it was time to say good-bye
Time to hop back onto the bus
We DO love going places like this
Being treated with so much fuss!
