Our Thanksgiving Day - Poem by Marilyn Lott

Our day was filled with loved ones
As the autumn trees blew softly
The sunrise seemed much brighter
At least it was that way to me

My loved ones looked up and smiled at me
So I could snap a photo to keep
It was a special day of family
For gentle peace is what we seek

Dinner was so delicious, of course
The flavors mirrored our mood
Cooked to simple perfection
Was our Thanksgiving food

I hope you too had a day like ours
That gave you happy things to say
I bless each minute that I spent
On our Thanksgiving Day!
