Out At Sea Poem by Sneha Murali

Out At Sea

Your sinking heart may stay afloat,
along the seas on your perforated boat.
Because you were gone before I could see,
and threw my heart out into the sea.
So float and swim, try and find..
my lost heart at sea without looking behind.
Instead of sitting alone in the dark,
search me out, my heart is marked.
But as you wait in your locked room,
blow dust in my eyes, blind me from seeing the truth.
You'd let the past come flooding back,
but I'd build a dam to keep it off my track.
You promised you'd take care of me.
But now I'm gone, I'm lost at sea.
And wen you'd stop being all 'me, me, me',
my love for you will clearly be seen.
Once upon a time, you were an angel to me,
but now you're just a sorry excuse for a human being.
