Out From Home Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Out From Home

“Why don’t you die early” the son thought
The old man was making bid to fight
He was coughing full night
The situation was so tight

No one in house may express displeasure
But it was sure
There was visible agony on face
The old man unwelcome in house

Many household have old people
Just living with fear of some troubles
If children are caring and kind
They always think of good and don’t mind at all

It becomes altogether different
When their presence is felt
With displeasure and wish is openly expressed
“Oh God, spare us from this hell” and silently whispered

Some children may be smart
They will make old people to part with
Their house, jewelry and cash
And force them to old age homes with rush

Each house has same story to repeat
Do we think it is right?
To push the parents out of home
And then donate good amount after they are RIP and gone
