Out From The Blue Poem by Sven Rhoads

Out From The Blue

Amongst my brethren I hear the tales of the toil in life
In the distance is the next in line without a care for strife

In a gentle breeze two worlds open up to me
As I stand in the space in between
The sacrifice that the old must make
To keep the young so secure

Now as a wave washes over me
In a new sense of clarity
Out from the blue all comes to light
Questioning where tomorrow leads
Now as the air smells so much sweeter
Does this wolf create his own pack
Out from the blue new thoughts arise
Letting life's hand take me where it goes

If I could slow the sand that falls in the glass
To let the children enjoy a longer time
For the hours and the years pass by so fast
Let them enjoy these moments so divine
If I could place the pieces into my desired place
These shadows in my mind would never be
But for this moment the sun shines on my face
As tomorrow remains in such blissful mystery

Amongst my brethren we stand as one so strong
We try to keep the darkness from young's sweet dreams

For the first time in an eternity I feel the connection
The pack is unified after the clouds of raining defection

And out from the blue I know not where this road is going
But I'm on my way and who stands with me now
And out from the blue I empty all these stones I've been growing
To feed the burning fire of the pack, one and true

Together as family and friends we can overcome anything thrown in our way. The path may not be clear but to make it clear I must travel down it
