Sometimes I stare into the darkness
Seeing a past lost to the void of emptiness
Finding a future away from the bitterness
Freedom to shut away the indebtedness
Seeing the pain of brokenness
From a life built on profound blindness
Discovering the soulful heartbeat of happiness
Found within the warmth of tenderness
Fighting against the anger of madness
Struggling against the blanket of darkness
Overcome by the hearts break from hardness
Leaping into the expanse of conciseness
Away from a soul wrapped decay of illness
Tumbling away from the captivity of bitterness
Landing in the softness of joyousness
