Out Of Egypt Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Out Of Egypt

Eve's misunderstanding,
Cain's misunderstanding,
Nimrod's misunderstanding,
A false witness will utter lies;
For the 60-year-old apple tree has fallen.

To the prayers of the saints,
Ten of tens of love to share to all mankind;
But, the planter still lives.
Of thousands of thousands,
Of millions of millions,
Of billions of billions,
Of trillions of trillions,
Of zillions of zillions,
The 60-year-old apple tree has fallen.

Ten thousand times ten thousand,
Disease is like a seditive!
So, use your senses well in times like this.
Of many years gone by,
Of many tears gone by,
Of many fears gone by,
Of many wears gone by,
Like the precious oil upon my head;
And like him who sits on the throne.

Power, riches and wisdom;
Strength, honour and glory;
It is just like the dew of Hermon where,
The blessing of this compact city is with us always.
It started with Eve,
It started with Cain,
It started with Nimrod,
The works of Man's hand;
Like the letters of Baal out of Egypt.
