Out Of Love Poem by Jessie Lima

Out Of Love

She must have really loved me
Because after so many years together
She chose to set me free.

She was always there
But 'I' made my own decisions
When I asked why, she said:
You must become a person of vision.

She never held my hand.
Many times she saw me fall, and say:
'The sooner you fall, the sooner you stand.
Now come child, I am getting tanned! '

With that I always smiled.
She is so tough, I thought
And I am just a child.

Today I am just like her,
I teach what I learned,
And know how to keep the knowledge earned.

Who she was?
Does it matter?
I became her, and I am much better.
Become a better person yourself, when you finish this poem/letter.
