There's this chick
that writes a poem
about a fox
caught in the jaws of life.
Except that this time
the animal
is the victim
of its steel teeth.
Dazed by the shimmer
in her eyes
I watch her formulating
the memoriam thoughts
and myself moved to tears
I grab a twelve gauge.
My throat throbbing
I blow them both
to smithereens.
Yah! I'm HE man.
