Outside Poem by Jennifer K

Outside

Rating: 4.2

Beyond this door of empty dark
lies open promises of better tomorrows.
Beyond this door THE
dreams I dare not speak await.

The darkness in this room is not affected
by the scent of the trees,
beauty of the flowers,
or bright ecstasy of the SUN

The depth of my dark is protected
by the thick shades cemented over my windows,
Locks on my doors
I stare into my dark and beg,
'Is the outside STILL
there? '

It's at night when the dark doesn't bother me.
At night, I can dream
of the time when i unlock my door
pull my shackles away
and see my future still SHINES.

An open mind gives you the brightest view. WIth an open mind you live in house of glass. Kindness will open all doors and you will escape in the bright future of your dreams.
