Over Debating In Debate Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Over debating in debate delays.
And outdates.
A quality of life.
Slipping slowly away.
That should not be a discussion.
But prioritized to be in place.

Too many are invited,
For their solicited opinions to give.
As to who is entitled,
To receive benefits.
Over those to disqualify,
By those appointed to identify...
Who is or who isn't,
That best represents...
A giving of their consent,
To live the lives they wish.
Without being denied how this is done.
Or who doesn't fit,
An image that can be marketed.
And exploited by the media.
Leaving this to debate,
By those with an outdated outlook.
And from a mindset,
Unable to progress using recessive tactics.
Yet perceive them proactive,
If the past to debate it stimulates.
