Over The Hump And Over The Hill - Poem by Dorsey Baker

Aging icons no longer
on wanted posters
facing the brutally cold
winds of change
Appearing in the late
stages of denial
Reading the road map
and tracing the steps
already taken
The importance of remembrance
is related to
Forget me not
I am still alive
and fairly well preserved
Kicked to the side of the road
you will not get
Trampled in the traffic
