Over Time Poem by Trenton Alex Campbell

Over Time

I stand in front of an empty void.
Something had goinge missing along the way,
I could of turned back
but I wanted it that way.

I fought my long battles and almost
got bashed to be enough
but I kept on moving though
all that strife.

I danced in the bitter rain
all it did was make me cold.
I crossed bridges a top of mountain's
cause I needed to be bold.
I swam oceans cause I
couldn't stand the land.
I jumped to the sky so I would
fly like a bird not walk like a man.

And with all these things done I
only had one thing on mind. That
was to get to you as fast as
I could in little of no time.

As for the void it's not
even a void at all. It's
where my heart once was till
I gave it to you over time.
