Overexposed Aura Poem by JAMES T. ADAIR

Overexposed Aura

You're overexposed
black and white
photograph

the sun gently washes
your hair and cheek
giving you a glow

I see your beauty
so clearly
in the sun's highlights

Like crystls sparkling
on your smooth
heart-shaped face

Your dark eyes
like lighthouse beacons
peer over level eyelids

scanning the world
like the watchful soul
knowing more than you'll speak

Through delicate lips
pursed and turning up
at their endearing corners

The feminine arches
of your eyebrows
press buttons inside me

That I don't understand
but your nose, so pretty
and somehow familiar

Some people say love
at first sight
is crazy

And I say they may be right
because I feel it too
When I look at you

That sun so bright
it must be beach sun
Can you feel this kiss?
