Paglet/ The Fashionable Middle-Aged Man Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

Paglet/ The Fashionable Middle-Aged Man

Paglet

Paglet I,
Paglet my manna,
I do not
Where is it
Wandering, drifting to?

English Hamlet,
Indian Paglet,
look you up
In Who's Who?

The Fashionable Middle-aged Man

Not so young
But still in this age
Loves he
Sporting
French-cut beards
On the chin
Painting it grey
In under-shirting, suite and boots
And belt and golden specs
Smiling like a handsome young guy,
But a balding
Somewhat fat
With the attache in hands
Passing over
The way
Like some Gentleman
But I do not
If he a good Samaritan or not,
As I just can see his outward
Not the inward.
