Painful Nostalgia Poem by jandy porras

Painful Nostalgia

Your voice still rings in my ear,

Squeezing and wringing every nerve in there.

Your face still lingers in my mind,

Beautiful, but a painful sight.

Your eyes, your lips, so lovely and sweet,

Are stabbing my heart, making it ache.

Your warmth and kisses that gave me tickles,

I missed these, as I sit in silence.

The caress you gave, and touch you did

Had driven me crazy, now, making me sick.

The smiles, the laughter and happiness we had

Are bringing me sorrow, making me sad.

The hugs and dates we shared,

Are now only mere memories.

Thinking of you makes me feel blue.

I want to feel well, but I’m getting ill.

I can’t forget you and I won’t forget you,

But there’s nothing I can do.

It’s better to end this life

Than living without you by my side.
