Painted Colors Poem by Tess Rockenstire

Painted Colors

Painted colors on the wall
Remind me of you.
The green is a hot summer night
When all the birds are high up above
When sailors sail their boats
And young boys and girls
Enjoy the waves on the ocean.
The yellow turns out to be summer fall
The bountiful harvest of pumpkins
On a cold crisp sunny October feast.
Warm apple pie, and cinnamon sticks,
Taking a bite of cider donuts,
And hot cider in a cup.
Blue turns out be your favorite color
Reminds me of the sky above,
The creator on high looks down on us,
He, smiles from the heavens.
White is like a snow
That brightens my day,
In the middle of winter
While the silver moon
Shining on my window pane,
Quaint village standing still
Depicting a romantic old tunes,
Like the painting of Grandma Moses, that hangs on the wall.
