Papa Philosophy Poem by JOSHUA RYNGKSAI

Papa Philosophy

Rating: 5.0

All bark and no bite,
Better is the termite,
For when solid reality,
Invades your psyche,
You're a dupe, papa Philosophy

Canine guts? the tail tells all,
From where I see, yours is curled.
Just when I trusted your robe,
You're nothing but a hopeless dope,
With promises like eggs, fruitless kill-hope,

When true wisdom makes its cry,
Your conscience chooses to die,
Dancing to the humdrum of gossip,
Sin seduces you in its grip,
The Scroll ignored so then the slip.

And through it all, the tender -
See behind the facade, a pretender
Like Mercury said ‘like a clown'
And soon you're going down,
At Omega's finale, truth spells at you with a frown.

A poignant rendition of words set aside for sober reflection. Well conceived and wonderfully brought forth with conviction. An insightful work of art. Thanks for sharing, Joshua.
