Paradise Poem by Shruti Goswami

Paradise

The skyline, it’s blurry;
Like a teary eyed soul,
The rains, incessant, indomitable,
Falling;
The wind, madly trying to break free,
The rain would just not let it be.
The crows, dripping, searching hard, for a shelter,
Found just now, their haven, safe and dry,
The birds, flying faraway, still searching
A cacophony, their futile attempt, here and there, lurching,
The trees, now still, the wind, its broken,
The constant drone of rain, like music, awakened.
Solitude, falling constantly, its sheer bliss,
The drops, kissing the balcony,
For each, it’s a first kiss;
Before they are lost unto eternity.
Caught in time, the showers it seems,
Makes me dream, some endless dreams.
Nestled against you, lost in your eyes,
Calmness descends, I can feel it inside.
