Painting Poem by Shruti Goswami

Painting

And after the last stroke of brush,
On the canvas;
You beckon,
And I stare in wonder;
I asked what it meant;
And you said, two souls intertwined.
And where does it begin?
"Where you want it to."
Wherever does it end?
"I don't want it to."
Where will it lead?
"Where you mean it to."
Who will?
"Two hearts in need."
And then you said: hush now,
No more questions;
I drew this for you to feel;
The eternal magic, that heals;
The irreversible bond, in its abstractness;
Where everything melts, into nothingness.
