Paradox Poem by Brian Murphy

Paradox

Without me there can be no you.

I ask for balance, you take all,
I plead for control, you exercise pain,
Stun me with despair, trick me,
Steadfast and unrelenting is your pursuit.

But what then will you do?

For it is true that I am not me without you,
But always remember,
Without me, there can be no you.
