Paralysis - Poem by Dónall Dempsey

The world
so like a novel

I had been reading
put down in sickness
& forgotten
what page
I had been on
and then picked up again
and reading backwards
from the end

to discover the place
where I had stopped
as the story grows to a
Beginning.
