Pardon Me While I Snicker Poem by Randy McClave

Pardon Me While I Snicker

Pardon me while I cry
As you lay down and die,
But, I don't do it in sadness and sympathy
Instead I do it all in empathy.
In the past when a judge added a mandate
Which was to help others health and fate,
People cheered and rejoiced and clapped
And unto those laws I always refused to adapt.
The government or no one can tell me what I can't or can
Because I am a gun toting American,
That power over me as a man they can't enable
But, of course to an American woman they are able.
A judge now said the CDC had overstepped its authority
They can't tell me or anyone what is healthy,
I drink beer and I also enjoy to smoke
And it's my own business if I get cancer or if I have a stroke.
I now don't have to wear a mask at the airports
Neither me or any of my rebellious cohorts,
And I don't have to wear a mask in public transportation
But, only in this one nation.
If you or your children wanna stay 6 feet away from me
You can, because now we live in a country that is free,
So, when I am smoking and drinking my liquor
Please pardon me, while I snicker.
