Parting Ways Poem by Donald R Wolff JR

Parting Ways

Rating: 5.0

I think it will rain today
The sky is looking blue
Where has gone, the season
When flowers were in bloom

Seasons change for new beginnings
Rain falls from days gone by
Love sometimes is a face without reflection
A blank stare from empty eyes

Within memory of past sweetness
Once hailed as a beloved
Shallow without feeling
Goes the way of my true love

Linger not, Oh rain forthcoming
Yonder lies the grass so green
If today it should rain, my heart
Tomorrow, flowers shall it bring
