Passing By Poem by Kinyua Karanja

Passing By

One day in future
Death will harvest you
Earth will be no more for you
Family and friends will weep
For you will be permanently asleep
In the ground, you will be planted
Soil will return to soil
As ashes will return to ashes
Everybody will go home
As you will have gone home
Rain will rain
As sun will shine
Kids will be born
You place will be taken
Short a while you will be forgotten
And others will raise and rise
They will be harvested too
As were are only passing by
