A solitary sonnet, total and whole,
A certain refrain that brightens my soul.

It lifts my spirit, and cheers my mind,
A single exclaim, one of a kind.

A password to joy and life's measure.
A verse to cherish, a bond to treasure.

Not hackneyed, trite or faddy,
That single word, their call, 'Daddy'
