Past Revelry Poem by Rick Elpers

Past Revelry

Evening with a glad heart
watching it rise and fall
We talk of passion
missing each other
longing for the reunion
to glide our souls
as to become one
Mixing thoughts with aspirations
blending arms and legs
with bellies and hips
 my chest against your breast
  pouring our skin out over
 the delight of our beauty
We revel in each others embrace
while the time quietly rolls past
 oblivious to its sting
 reminding us of how
short our lives really are
