As past the storm
Wishing to return to the norm,
All I now see is destruction
From Mother Nature's eruption.
Came her wind and the rain
We saw and also felt the pain,
We saw and felt the thudding
As came the terrible flooding.
Trees were uprooted and tossed to the side
Everyone hid and cried,
Destruction was then everywhere
Only then many say a prayer.
As the storm was attacking
Their was no compassion or slacking,
She hit hard and she hit fast
Sadly, many had ignored the forecast.
Houses have been destroyed
Government assistance had been deployed,
As the storm strengthened and its power spread
Many, were now dead.
Now the storm has subsided
As we were unprepared and unguided,
As the hereabouts started to deform
Then ended the storm.
