Patchwork Love Poem by Jessica Nobubele Frame

Patchwork Love

Rating: 5.0

I’m sitting here
Sitting here in the clouds
Watching,
As the patch work,
Spotted earth stretches below me

I’m sitting here
Minding my own business
Listening
To the layers of music,
And thoughts,
passing through inside of my head

I’m sitting here
Not caring about a thing
Until a thought of you enters
my world below
and I get distracted
a little messed up
because of you

Yes, I’m sitting here
Just sitting here in this machine in the sky
Waiting to land on the solid earth below
Get grounded again
Wanting some stability
A little less distraction
Someone to sew together the pieces of this
Broken heart,
All the while you just sit there
With guitar in hand
Not thinking of me
While you listen to the layers
Of music
And thoughts
passing through…
Inside of your head
